Molly’s Mats

We had a special visitor this week at our Monday meeting: Molly Leckey.  She’s a friend of Betty Foster’s and came to show us her wonderful mats.  They were completed in the 1960’s and 1970’s and are representative of hooking from that era:  very fine cut - 2 & 3 - spectacular work!

In other news, there were lots of rugs to ogle and yummy things to munch on.  There were also a couple of non-hooked items showcasing the multicraftualness of our group yet again!  Karen Kaiser was there with lots of wonderful dyed wools to tempt us.

Photo Exchange

Laurie and her thrift store skirt find!
Today I rec’d several photos from our Christine who is enjoying the winter months in sunny Florida.  While she clearly misses her group in Cobourg, she’s found another rug hooking group in Florida.

In the spirit of an international exchange, here are the photos from her, followed by a bunch of photos from our Thursday group (we were a smaller group than usual, due to snowy weather).

...and now for the Cobourgians......
