Lang Won an Award!
Lang Pioneer Village was recently voted Ontario's Best Small Museum for 2017! This is quite an accolade for them. Here's a link to the announcement by Attractions Ontario. Note that they were one of the top 3 vote-getters - this means they're in the running for "Attraction of the Year", to be announced November 7.
As well, Laurie Siblock was interviewed on CBC Radio. Click here for the link - her interview starts at the 13:45 mark. She paid special tribute to the volunteers who work at the site.
Congrats to Lang!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your wonderful blog on Lang’s exciting news about the Attractions Ontario Recognition. I wrote a comment on your blog thanking the Northumberland Rug Hookers for our great partnership and acknowledging that the award is yours too as the Village wouldn’t be the vibrant, exciting place that it is without the demonstrations, exhibits and talents that artists like yourselves bring to events (but I think because I didn’t have a google account or other such thing, the comment didn’t’ register). It takes a whole community to make a Village. Lol And the Northumberland Rug Hookers are an important part of our community.
With appreciation,
Laurie Siblock
