Monday Meeting Reminder

I"M BACK!! it's so nice to be home! The sun is shining and I have a few crocuses that blooming, what a surprise!

The weather certainly is nice and warm and as I wander through my garden lifting dead leaves off of plants I am still amazed by the  discovery of new green shoots of plants yet to come, isn't life wonderful!
There is a feeling of rebirth in spring and of things yet to come and of course this leads me into the next thing...............our April 25th monthly meeting featuring Loretta Moore of Hooked on the Lake!!!

I know by now all of you have been looking through your patterns and wool to see what colours of wool you may need or hoops or hooks or WHATEVER!!

Christmas Lunch

Welcome another new member: Cathy Alfano.  So great to have a face to some of the new names.

We had a great lunch , lots of laughs a little shopping and colour planning advice from Carol Shewan it was great to have her there!

We presented Dianne Algera with our friendship rug and I know she will enjoy taking it to our various demonstrations.  I will be sending photos in to the OHCG and to the TIGRH so you can check out there websites to see our group photo!

Thanks again everyone for all your work.

OHCG

(example of a blog post - as culled from my emails)

Just a reminder if any of you want to renew your OHCG (Ontario Hooking and Craft Guild) membership or subscribe as a new member, Iris ( our treasurer) will be collecting cheques payable to OHCG in the amount of $35 for a 1 year subscription and sending them in on our behalf.  This newsletter is sent out 4 times a year and tells us what everyone around the province is doing (including us) and is a good way to feel connected to everyone and lets us know about hook-ins and promotes rug hooking into the future.  Our own Dianne Algera is the past president of this group.
I'll have a copy of a recent one to show anyone if they are considering it.

have a great weekend!
